Dehydration Agent for the Synthesis of Tetra-substituted Olefins
Bis(2,6-dimethylphenyl) chlorophosphate [B1922] is utilized in the formation of tetrasubstituted olefins by dehydration. When tertiary alcohols are treated with B1922, the phosphate esters are formed as an intermediate. Subsequent treatment with heat gives corresponding tetrasubstituted olefins in good yields with high stereoselectivity. Furthermore, this reaction has been used in the synthesis of tamoxifen [T2510], an antitumor compound. B1922 is also used as a condensing agent for the synthesis of oligonucleotides with phosphorodithioates.
TCI is proud to present the amidation using DMTMM [D2919] as a condensing agent applicable to the reactions in an alcohol or aqueous solvent. The reaction report is actually performed by TCI's synthesis staff. You can not only see the reaction procedure but also the comments and analytical data from our staff.
HPLC is used extensively as a means of detecting and determining trace components. In particular, it is effective in the case of non-volatile trace components in complex matrices such as biological substances. Compounds for analysis are labelled with labeling reagents that are appropriate for detection methods in order to obtain higher sensitivity and selectivity. TCI offers many labeling reagents for UV , fluorescence, electrochemical, and chemiluminescence detection.
