TCI has begun in-house fabrication and assessment of organic transistors using our products. The results of device performance and its functionality provide us the feedback on synthesis and purification processes to improve our technology and skill. In addition, we also release several useful physical properties of our organic transistor materials (e.g. UV-Vis spectra and 2D-GIXD data).
Hole Transport Materials for Stable Perovskite Solar Cells
Leading research institutes and industries that promote solar cell research are constantly trying to design, build, and upscale practical perovskite solar cells. However, challenges still exist in the commercialization process with the stability and cost of the hole transport layer as the main culprit. In order to circumvent these issues, TCI has developed two new materials: TOP-HTM-α1 [B5672] and TOP-HTM-α2 [T3722] as alternatives to the costly hole transport material, Spiro-OMeTAD. Unlike Spiro-OMeTAD, TOP-HTM-α1 and TOP-HTM-α2 are very useful for stable perovskite solar cells without dopants or additives, and are much more affordable.
Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and Porous Coordination Polymers (PCPs) feature porous coordination networks with extensive surface area, exceeding that of activated carbon and zeolite. The nanometer sized pores are capable of absorbing small molecules, and are find their application in gas storage and separation, sensors, and catalysis. Various MOFs and PCPs can be designed by taking into account the metal coordination number and organic ligand structure. One can identify an unique function for a given MOF or PCP by introducing additional functional groups on the organic ligand. TCI offers rich variety of organic ligands (organic linkers) for the design of various MOFs/PCPs.

Boron-containing π-electron materials have attracted increasingly more attention because of their unique properties stemming from p-π* conjugation between the vacant p orbital on the boron atom with the π* orbital of the π-conjugated framework.
